Ultrasound Technologist

Job Summary and Qualifications Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures, for the purpose of detecting pathology, evaluating function, or as a means of assisting in the provision of treatment. Operates all the equipment utilized within the department, and develops and organizes films for presentation to the radiologist. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow co-workers, other departments, and Medical Staff. Works under the supervision of the Imaging Supervisor.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education: 1. Successful completion of a vocational program from a school of Ultrasound. Experience: 1. Ability to perform all sonographic procedures according to established guidelines utilizing appropriate equipment. Other Qualifications

1. Registered and certified with the A.R.D.M.S: in OB or Abdomen.
2. Must be registered in ARDMS RVT or ARRT – Vascular (6 months Grace)
3. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
