Overview Registered Nurse – PACU (Phase I & Phase II Recovery) is available for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY. Start date: 07/13/2026 for a multi-week period. Pay: $1,931 to $2,053 per week. Shift: 4x10 Days. Setting: a short-term acute care teaching hospital with a 27-bed PACU unit within a 471-bed facility. This role focuses on perioperative/post-anesthesia care, supporting adolescent through geriatric patients after surgery. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,931–$2,053 per week Guaranteed hours: 0.0 Contract duration: Weeks Shift: 4x10 Days Start date: 07/13/2026 Setting: Short-term acute care teaching hospital with a 27-bed PACU unit Orientation: 16 hours Travel assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC Responsibilities Deliver Phase I & II PACU care for postoperative patients (adolescents, adults, geriatrics) including airway management and basic monitoring (ETCO2) Administer medications, manage pain control (including PCA where applicable), and perform post‑op assessments Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (IV team, PT, RT, Radiology, Pharmacy, Rapid Response, Social Services, Transportation, Unit Secretary) to support safe patient flow and timely disposition Document patient status and care accurately in Epic; respond to post‑anesthesia events; participate in handoffs and post‑anesthesia care planning Maintain quality and safety standards, including phlebotomy and IV starts/maintenance as required Schedule and float as needed; be available for weeknight and weekend call per unit policy Requirements Active NY RN license (in hand) to submit Minimum 1 year RN experience EPIC charting experience is required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Mandatory competencies: Phlebotomy and IV starts/maintenance Education: RN with current licensure Location constraints: Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility; locals are not eligible Scheduling/availability: RTO requests must be Patient population experience: PACU care for adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics; pediatric PACU experience preferred Start date flexibility: Start date listed is 07/13/2026; assignment length in weeks Benefits and Support Dedicated support throughout the assignment 24/7 recruiter and travel support Orientation included (16 hours) Access to assignment resources and ongoing support during the contract Pay Disclaimer Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
