Registered Nurse – Oncology/Hematology

Schedule

12 Hour Shifts, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Every other weekend rotation.

Assignment Details

Contract length is preferred at 26 weeks or longer, with consideration given to 13-week contracts on a case-by-case basis.

Requirements

• Current AHA BLS certification required at time of submission.
• Preferred certification: Chemotherapy Certification.
• Active nursing license in Kansas or multi-state license required; no hits allowed.
• Minimum of 1-year acute care nursing experience required; experience in oncology/hematology preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred but training is available.

Responsibilities

• Providing care for patients with hematological and oncology diagnoses.
• Administering chemotherapy and managing symptoms in specialized medical patients, including those receiving palliative and hospice care.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Participating in continuous improvement practices within the nursing team.
• Monitoring patient progress and advocating for patient needs effectively.

Compliance / Notes

Holiday RTO Policy: Healthcare professionals may request 1 holiday off. Compliance due date is two Thursdays prior to the start date.
