Position Summary:

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas by washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and equipment. This role is vital in supporting the kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wash and sanitize all dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen tools using industrial dishwashing equipment or by hand as needed.
• Ensure all items are properly cleaned and stored in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish area, including sweeping and mopping floors.
• Take out trash, recycling, and kitchen waste following proper disposal procedures.
• Clean and sanitize sinks, counters, dish machines, and related equipment.
• Assist in basic kitchen prep or janitorial tasks as needed.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Communicate any maintenance or safety issues to management promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Prior dishwashing or kitchen experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Must be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours).
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and exposure to hot water, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen equipment.
