Bus Driver

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma
• Commercial Driver's License with P&S endorsement
• CPR Certification
• Must pass annual physical, alcohol and drug test and safety training
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Governing Board may find appropriate and acceptable

REPORTS TO: Transportation Director

JOB GOAL: To provide safe and efficient transportation so that the students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extracurricular program.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Obeys all traffic laws
• Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses
• Maintains discipline when students are on bus by advising passengers of appropriate behavior and reinforces established guidelines for passenger safety
• Reports discipline problems to the proper authority
• Keeps the bus clean
• Keeps to assigned schedule
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Discharges students only at authorized stops
• Reports all accidents and completes required report
• Prepares other reports as required
• Fuels assigned vehicle
