Location & Facility Facility: GSS & Lakota Ctr Location: Lakota, ND Address: 608 4th Ave SW, Lakota, ND 58344, USA Shift & Schedule Shift: Varies Job Schedule: PRN / Weekly Hours: Varies Job Summary The Medication Assistant (MA) provides resident‑centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a charge nurse. The role includes age‑appropriate care, assistance with activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital‑sign monitoring, medication administration, mobility support, meal preparation, housekeeping, and participation in wellness and recreational programs. Key Responsibilities Deliver care in accordance with each resident’s plan of care. Assist with basic health‑care needs including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and transferring. Collect vital signs and non‑invasive body fluid specimens. Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and within state regulations. Document outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and diet. Support residents with meals, snacks, water, and supplements, and facilitate a positive dining experience. Provide housekeeping and laundry services to keep living areas clean. Encourage and assist residents in wellness and recreational activities. Participate in departmental or organization committees and task forces as requested. Qualifications High‑school graduate or GED (preferred but not required). Minimum age 18. Prior clinical or nursing‑assistant experience in long‑term care preferred. Annual competency testing and continuing‑education records maintained (minimum 12 hrs state‑required). All required department certifications maintained; a valid driver’s license and auto insurance may be required. State‑specific medication‑assistant certification (CNA, Certified Medication Aide/Assistant, or Trained Medication Assistant) based on location:

• Iowa: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Certified Medication Aide/Assistant course.
• Minnesota: Nursing Assistant certification, 75‑hour course, and Trained Medication Assistant course.
• North Dakota: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Certified Medication Aide/Assistant course; Medication Assistant I or II certification depending on facility type.
• South Dakota: Certified Medication Aide (CMA) course.
• Other Good Samaritan/ Sanford facilities: state‑required certified/trained medication aide (CMA or TMA) and active CNA registration or proof of obtaining it within 120 days.
