The Role

The Assistant General Manager will work directly with the General Manager to oversee floor operations, maintain exceptional guest standards, and lead our frontline taproom team. You’ll play a key hands-on role in daily operations, staff development, and execution of taproom initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Shift Leadership: Supervise day-to-day taproom operations, ensuring high-energy service, quick problem-solving, and seamless guest experiences.

• Team Development: Support the GM in hiring, training, scheduling, and mentoring taproom staff to foster a positive, supportive work culture.

• Operational Execution: Assist with inventory management (beer, kitchen supplies, merchandise), line cleaning, and facility upkeep.

• Financial & SOP Support: Help manage labor costs during shifts and enforce standard operating procedures across all service areas.

• Compliance & Safety: Ensure the taproom strictly adheres to health, sanitation, liquor, and safety regulations during all operational hours.

• Cross-Functional Support: Assist with events, marketing activations, and overall business needs as directed by the GM.

Requirements

• 1–2+ years of supervisory or management experience in a high-volume bar, restaurant, or taproom.

• Ability to work on-site during peak operational periods, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Passionate about craft beer, guest hospitality, and aligned with TALEA’s brand and vision.

• A proactive mindset with strong communication skills and a sense of urgency.

• Adaptable and excited to work in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.
