Data Engineer

Cobalt is working with a well-respected commercial real estate business in New York City to recruit a Data Engineer . This role is central to the firm’s data and analytics capability, supporting investment decision-making, portfolio performance, and the delivery of data-driven insights across the organisation. The successful candidate will join a collaborative technology team and play a key role in building and maintaining scalable, reliable data infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines Develop and manage cloud-based data platforms and warehouses Collaborate with analytics, data science, and product teams to deliver high-quality data solutions Implement and maintain data models to support reporting and advanced analytics Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across systems Monitor, troubleshoot, and support production data environments Document data architecture, pipelines, and engineering best practices Technology Environment Cloud platforms (primarily AWS; experience with GCP also considered) SQL-based data warehouses (e.g. Redshift, BigQuery) Orchestration and transformation tools (Airflow, dbt, or similar) Python and SQL Version control and CI/CD workflows Required Experience 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering role Strong SQL skills and experience building production-grade data pipelines Hands-on experience with cloud data infrastructure Solid understanding of data modelling and warehouse design Strong communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams #J-18808-Ljbffr Cobalt Recruitment
