This position is an integral part of the radiation oncology treatment team, working closely with physicians and other clinical staff to ensure accurate treatment delivery according to prescribed plans.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister accurate radiation therapy treatments per physician prescriptionsAssist in patient setup, positioning, and immobilizationEnsure safety compliance with all ARRT and State of Texas (CMRT) guidelinesMonitor patient responses and provide emotional support throughout treatmentCommunicate effectively with physicians, nurses, physicists, and dosimetristsMaintain daily treatment logs and electronic recordsPerform daily quality assurance checks on radiation equipmentAdhere to strict infection control and radiation safety standardsMaintain and update required certifications and continuing educationMinimum QualificationsCertified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) – State of Texas license requiredARRT-THR (Radiation Therapy) – RequiredGraduate from an accredited Radiation Therapy programStrong interpersonal and communication skillsCompassionate, patient-centered approachAbility to follow detailed technical procedures accuratelyNew graduates are encouraged to applyPreferred QualificationsPrior clinical experience in a hospital or cancer centerExperience with advanced radiation equipment and softwareFamiliarity with electronic medical record systems and treatment planning tools
