Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Location: Johnstown, PA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: Monday through Friday, 06:30-15:00 with on-call requirements during weekdays and weekends.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse will perform various nursing duties in the Operating Room (OR), floating to the main OR as necessary. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, assisting in surgical procedures, and working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
• Assist surgeons during surgical procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and intravenous therapies as prescribed.
• Maintain a sterile and safe environment in the operating room.
• Participate in call duties as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in Pennsylvania.
• ACLS and BLS certification.
• 1-2 years of nursing experience in a surgical environment preferred.
