Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift

The Maintenance Mechanic at the Baldwin, WI location is responsible for a variety of mechanical maintenance of the equipment and facility. This is a 2nd shift onsite role from 3:15 pm to 1:15 am. Responsibilities Perform a variety of mechanical and facilities maintenance work. Maintain structures, production equipment, HVAC, boilers, compressors, plumbing, jib/cranes/hoists, and material handling equipment. Perform inspections, preventive, predictive, and repair work. Perform all aspects of machine installations, including rigging, moving, assembling, leveling, and alignment work according to prints and specifications. Coordinate and perform design and fabrication work to support plant needs. Perform a wide variety of electrical/electronic maintenance work, including maintaining and repairing electrical distribution, troubleshooting, and predictive maintenance. Complete departmental projects and initiatives. Obtain bids, costs, and present solutions with options and costs. Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental policies and procedures. Research and develop preventive maintenance schedules for new equipment and modify existing schedules. Other duties may be assigned to fulfill Donaldson’s mission, vision, and strategic plan objectives. Minimum Qualifications 2‑year degree in industrial mechanical technology or related field, or4‑year apprenticeship in industrial maintenance discipline, or5‑7 years’ experience in industrial maintenance or related field, orminimum 5 years’ experience working in industrial maintenance or related field. Combination of the above qualifications may total 5 years. High school diploma or equivalent with prior experience reading prints, assembling products, and one year welding. Familiarity with metal fabrication equipment, welding equipment, painting equipment, hoists, cranes, and related machinery. Maintain a positive work attitude and understand written and verbal instructions. Experience with CMMS systems (maintenance management software). Ability to work with limited supervision and produce products with limited or incomplete information. Basic understanding of lean concepts, wiring, sheet metal fabrication, and paint skills. Maintain flexibility when priorities and deadlines change rapidly, possess excellent written and verbal communication and problem‑solving skills, and work effectively in a team. Maintain a pattern of regular and predictable attendance. Open for advancement opportunities, including supervision. Certifications & Licenses Weld and forklift certification. Pay & Benefits Hourly pay range: $27.30. Position is overtime eligible as per state and federal regulations. Position is eligible for a gainsharing plan based on the achievement of specific goals.
