Staff Accountant

Red Jacket Beach Resort, 1 S Shore Dr, South Yarmouth, MA 02664, USA Description Cape Cod's Red Jacket Resort collection is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. This role will provide support and assist the Director of Finance in the day-to-day financials of the resorts. The Staff Accountant is responsible for safeguarding the assets. Responsibilities Perform research with guest disputes and chargebacks. Assist with month-end and year-end process including posting journals and running reporting. Prepare ownership reporting. Payroll, accounting and journal uploads. Cost allocations. PTO/Vacation accruals. Support coworkers and team as needed to ensure efficient operation. Perform duties, special assignments, and projects as requested by management. Requirements Must have 2+ years of progressive experience in accounting or payroll within the hospitality or similar industry. Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent work experience required. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel required. Up to date with USALI knowledge. Experience with ProfitSword and Acumatica preferred but not required. The role requires the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities. The individual must have high energy level and the ability to be creative and think independently. Excellent organizational, administrative and problem-solving skills are a must. Qualifications Education: Bachelors or better in Accounting or related field. Experience: 2 years progressive experience in accounting or payroll within the hospitality or similar industry.
