The Role

We're hiring an Inventory and Procurement Coordinator to own equipment sourcing, shipping/receiving, inventory accuracy, and project coordination for our telecom deployments. You'll be the person ensuring the right equipment is bought at the right price, tracked correctly, tested before it ships, and delivered on time — while keeping vendor relationships and internal project timelines running smoothly.

Core Responsibilities

Procurement & Vendor Management

• Source and purchase telecom equipment (routers, switches, VoIP phones, firewalls) from approved vendors, comparing pricing and lead times to control cost.
• Create and track purchase orders from request through delivery; reconcile received goods against POs and invoices.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers and carriers; maintain and evaluate a preferred-vendor list.
• Monitor project and inventory budgets, flagging cost overruns or pricing changes to management.

Shipping, Inventory & Equipment Management

• Process daily shipments, track outbound/inbound orders, and resolve logistics issues.
• Maintain accurate stock levels, prevent shortages, and keep storage organized.
• Inspect, configure, and troubleshoot telecom equipment before deployment.
• Coordinate with suppliers, logistics carriers, and installation teams to ensure smooth deliveries.
• Identify process improvements that reduce shipping costs and improve inventory accuracy.

Project Coordination & Team Support

• Track timelines, deliverables, and vendor schedules for telecom equipment deployments.
• Coordinate with Sales, IT, and Field Technicians to ensure smooth project execution.
• Align shipping schedules with customer deadlines and installation windows.
• Maintain project records, update stakeholders, and track inventory usage per deployment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in packing, shipping, and inventory management.
• Experience handling telecom or IT equipment, such as routers, switches, VoIP phones, firewalls, and other networking hardware , in a logistics, warehouse, procurement, or operations coordination role.
• Experience creating purchase orders, sourcing vendors, comparing quotes, and tracking procurement spend.
• Proficiency with inventory and shipping software (UPS, FedEx, or similar); experience with PO or purchasing software is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to maintain accuracy in purchasing, shipments, inventory, and project timelines.
• Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to take initiative, solve problems, and work independently.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across internal teams, vendors, and field technicians.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving boxes up to 50 lbs and organizing inventory as needed.

Physical Requirements

This role requires the physical ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to:

• Regularly lift and carry boxes and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods while receiving, sorting, and storing inventory.
• Repeatedly move between office, warehouse/storage, and shipping/receiving areas throughout the workday.
• Operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., hand trucks, pallet jacks) as needed.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Compensation:

• Base Salary: $40,000 – $55,000 USD.
• Determining Factors: Final offer depends on technical expertise, years of relevant experience, and specific skills.
• Note: This range covers base pay only; all other benefits will be discussed during the offer stage.
