Classified Opening Full Time, 10 Months Middle School 2026-2027 Reports to: Building Principal Essential Functions Greeting visitors, answering telephone calls in a pleasant and efficient manner, and communicating effectively in routine, sensitive, and confidential matters. Adapts to the variety of responsibilities. Presents a positive image in contacts with the parents, community and staff. Protect confidentiality of records and information about students and staff, and use discretion when sharing any such information within legal confines. Display ethical and professional behavior in working with everyone who communicates or is associated with the office. Serve as a role model for students and staff in demonstrating positive attitudes, appropriate attire and grooming, accepting responsibility, and an effective work ethic. Organize and maintain an efficient and effective office that handles a variety of tasks for the administration, faculty, students, and parents of the school. Demonstrates regular attendance and punctuality Assist librarian with library and makerspace Collect library fines and write receipts. Prepare concession stand and gate money boxes. Collect money and write receipts for iPad insurance, yearbooks, BVO, etc. Manage the vault, including proper placement and organization of all files. Printing labels Copy Service for staff and maintaining paper supply. Laminating service for staff Monitor and assist students when counselors are in classrooms or out of the office. Assist administration, librarian, and counselors. Qualifications Education level High school diploma or equivalent Certification or Licensure None required. Other requirements Courteous telephone manners; the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, patrons and school personnel; good work attitude with a positive and pleasant disposition; working knowledge of office machines; excellent computer skills; and good attendance record. Excellent organizational skills, oral and written skills, time management, and telephone skills. Must successfully pass a background check that is satisfactory to the Board of Education. Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions - Requires prolonged sitting and standing; requires stooping, bending, reaching and lifting; requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials; must work in stressful and hectic environments; requires the ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions; may require some travel; requires physical and emotional endurance; must be able to work long and irregular hours; and requires regular and consistent attendance and physical presence at the job.
