Senior Legal Counsel
Rutherford Company Inc
Our client, a global multi-strategy hedge fund, is seeking to hire a Senior Counsel to join its legal team in Boston. This is a broad in-house opportunity for an experienced attorney to work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, providing practical legal advice across investment, regulatory, transactional and general corporate matters. The firm is open to candidates who would consider relocating to Boston for the role.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with senior legal colleagues and investment professionals on key matters.
- Provide legal advice to investment teams across multiple strategies and transactions.
- Advise on fund, asset management, securities and private offering matters.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, NDAs, vendor contracts and other documentation.
- Identify legal and regulatory issues and develop practical solutions.
Requirements:
- 4+ years’ legal experience within a hedge fund, asset manager or leading Big Law firm.
- Strong academic credentials and excellent legal fundamentals.
- Experience across investment, transactional, regulatory or corporate matters.
- Commercially minded with the confidence to work directly with investment professionals.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Curious and motivated to develop broad knowledge across a hedge fund.
