Job Description
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide exceptional cardiopulmonary services. This position involves working night shifts on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 7 PM to 7 AM. Responsibilities The Registered Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for:
- Following protocols approved by the medical staff and adhering to department policies and procedures.
- Providing timely diagnostic and therapeutic services to both inpatients and outpatients.
- Assisting physicians with both invasive and non-invasive procedures.
- Delivering medicated aerosols using medical compressed gas.
- Maintaining airways and managing ventilators.
- Inserting arterial lines and performing intubations.
- Conducting pulmonary function studies and cardiac/pulmonary stress tests.
- Collecting and analyzing blood gases.
- Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) in New Mexico.
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) registry.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.
- Prior travel experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
