Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking a talented mid-career Geotechnical Engineer II to support water, wastewater treatment, flood protection, and associated projects in our Chelmsford, MA office. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within an established and successful national group providing leadership of junior-level structural engineers while under the guidance of Registered Professional Engineers that offers a range of career development opportunities. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:• Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.

• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
• Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
• Identifies discrepancies in results.
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:​​​​​​Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field + 2 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationValid U.S. Driver’s License is required to regularly drive AECOM vehicles to project sites. The selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review. Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical Engineering Focus or other related field. Registration as a Professional Engineer in a US Jurisdiction with the ability to obtain licensure via comity in Massachussetts within twelve (12) months. 3+ years of demonstrated work experience performing geotechnical exploration,Understanding of analysis & designStrong knowledge of providing guidance for the built environment.
