Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in a quality-focused role within the electric motor, automotive, or related industry
• Experience designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes
• Experience optimizing processes for scalability, cost-effectiveness, and quality
• Experience leading quality control initiatives, investigations, and studies
• Experience ensuring products meet customer and regulatory requirements
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 9000, ISO 14000, UL, CE, RoHS, AS9100, or related standards
• Experience investigating and resolving production issues using Six Sigma, 8D, FMEA, or similar methods
• Experience driving lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects
• Experience maintaining documentation for manufacturing processes, quality inspections, and regulatory audits
• Experience preparing reports for internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies
• Experience specifying, selecting, and validating manufacturing equipment, tools, and automation systems
• Experience supporting supplier quality management
• Experience working cross-functionally with design, production, quality, R&D, supply chain, and management teams
• Proficiency in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical process control
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory compliance
• Experience with CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or equivalent
• Experience with Autodesk Fusion 360 CAM

Role Overview: The Manufacturing Engineer will optimize manufacturing processes, ensure product quality, and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations for electric motor production.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing processes for electric motor production
• Focus on scalability, cost-effectiveness, and quality in manufacturing processes
• Lead quality control initiatives, investigations, and studies
• Ensure products meet or exceed customer and regulatory requirements
• Ensure manufacturing processes and products comply with ISO 9001, UL, CE, and other applicable U.S. and international regulations
• Investigate and resolve production issues using Six Sigma, 8D, FMEA, and other problem-solving methods
• Minimize defects and improve production yield
• Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects
• Improve productivity, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency
• Maintain documentation for manufacturing processes, quality inspections, and regulatory audits
• Prepare reports for internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies
• Work with design, production, and supply chain teams to integrate new products and processes into manufacturing operations
• Specify, select, and validate manufacturing equipment, tools, and automation systems
• Support high-volume production while maintaining quality standards
• Provide technical guidance and training to production staff and junior engineers
• Ensure adherence to best practices and quality standards
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure raw materials and components meet quality and regulatory requirements
• Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and compliance reviews
• Conduct cost analysis, value assessments, and VAVE evaluations
• Balance design trade-offs for optimal business impact

Preferred Candidate Background: Manufacturing engineer with electric motor, automotive, or related industry experience, strong quality assurance background, regulatory compliance knowledge, lean manufacturing experience, and hands-on process improvement expertise.
