Independent School District No. 695 Position: Custodian and Bus Driver Job # 2026NC365 Direct Supervisor: Operations Lead Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Must hold or be able to obtain a valid Minnesota Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Knowledge of custodial methods, including the use of industrial cleaning chemicals and floor scrubbers. Ability and willingness to work flexible hours or overtime. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals or safety instructions. Ability to work constructively, with a partner and/or team. Lift up to 50+ pounds, climb, kneel, stand for prolonged periods, and manual labor in various weather conditions. General Duties & Responsibilities Complete cleaning assignments, transportation, and general maintenance as directed by the Operations Lead. Operate school vans or buses for daily routes, field trips, athletic events, or other routes as directed. Perform daily cleaning and sanitization, including the use of specialized equipment, as directed. Assist with floor stripping and waxing, general maintenance, and equipment repair including, but not limited to changing of bulbs, locking and unlocking doors, equipment set up, and anything else as directed. Maintain clean vehicle logs; report any safety hazards or equipment failures immediately; adhere to OSHA and other mandated reporting agencies. Properly install and secure specialized passenger restraints (harnesses/vests) according to manufacturer specifications and Minnesota Department of Public Safety guidelines. Check and respond to email at least 1 time per day for communications, work orders, or other items. Assist in groundskeeping and snow removal, as directed. Perform other duties not listed on this job description, as assigned.
