Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Director for Lineside Logistic Operations to join our Manufacturing department based in Mobile, AL

The Director for Lineside Logistics Operations is responsible for the complete End to End A320 Value Stream for Logistics Operations and Direct Procurement in FAL Mobile. The position is accountable for the overall VSM performance of the End to End Logistics Operations and Direct Procurement from supplier to production line. This Director position is responsible for driving Hamburg on-time shipping performance out of the HUB, to include all 1st flow, secondary flow, EU and US direct shipping, and US direct ordering. The director's team is also responsible for on-time delivery at Takt and all WIP materials on the Flowline up to TOT (Transfer of Title - Airline Delivery) of the Aircraft. All aspects of operational material management in the FAL are managed in this leader's scope of work, which includes local Stores Inventory, Hospital Stock, and missing parts management.

Your challenges:

• Supervise A320 End to End Flowline Logistics Operations, 1st Flow performance, Secondary Flow management, and Expedite support from Overseas
• Responsible for the successful execution of A320 Lineside Logistics enabling TOT of >65 aircrafts out of FAL mobile
• Accountable for complete EASA compliance within Final Assembly Operations for Materials Management and Material Quality. The team's scope includes regulatory obligations and is fully empowered to represent local Airbus Logistics Operations.
• Ensure contracts and proposals are accurately received in a timely and securely maintained (Airbus Red) within the overall scope of OT operations as a functional reporting liaison in Mobile
• Act as Business Partner for the Head of VSM A320 Operations in Mobile ensuring innovative service excellence.
• Develop and implement WIP Program management methodologies that mitigate the losses of inventory in Operations and maintain strong connection with 3PL support in Warehousing Operations
• Drive Lineside Logistics for the overall End to End Transformation that extends from External/Internal Airbus suppliers, to the final deliveries on the Customer Line
• Building up the organizational structure for future lineside logistics and ensuring ramp up readiness for integrated A320 Line 1 and Line 2
• Identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities and strategic development of the FAL Mobile A320/A220 Lineside Logistics
• Deliver strategy dossier enabling cross synergies between A320 and A220
• Responsible to implement and develop the direct ordering for A320 flying material (POM/POS Scope)
• Conducts strategic pricing planning, leads cost proposal development and participate in technical proposal preparation in compliance with the Federal Estimating System Manual, RFP requirements and other firm policies and procedures
• Knowledge of DCAA and DCMA audit standards, federal experience with proposal pricing and cost estimating

Your boarding pass:

• 10 years in Aerospace/manufacturing environment, preferable in Supply Chain, Global Transport
• Experience managing an external service provider
• Proven leadership capabilities having developed teams directly
• Previous experience in a mechanic or technician role is highly desirable
• Master's degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited college or Bachelors plus (2) two years of contract/aerospace experience. Additional relevant education may be substituted for progressive experience
• Advanced oral and written communication skills are required along with extensive knowledge of company policies and procedures and work flow processes
• Must be able to collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing
• Aviation proven experience is preferred
