About the Role

We are looking for a Welding Technician to support welding operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong practical welding knowledge who enjoys working closely with production, quality, and engineering teams.

This is not only a hands-on welding role. The Welding Technician will help support welders, troubleshoot welding issues, improve processes, maintain welding standards, and assist with documentation and certifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Support welding activities on the production floor.
• Help troubleshoot welding issues and support production teams.
• Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams.
• Support welding procedures and documentation, including WPS, PQR, and WPQ.
• Help maintain welding certifications and compliance with applicable standards.
• Support welding processes such as MIG/GMAW, FCAW/MCAW, TIG/GTAW, resistance welding, and laser welding.
• Assist with inspections and audits of welding workstations.
• Train and support welders and operators when needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support robotic welding processes and automation projects.
• Use AutoCAD or DraftSight when required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in welding, metallurgy, mechanical/manufacturing technology, or equivalent welding experience.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in welding, production support, quality, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes such as MIG/GMAW, FCAW/MCAW, and TIG/GTAW.
• Knowledge of welding standards such as AWS, CSA, ISO, or CWB is an asset.
• Experience with WPS, PQR, WPQ, or welding documentation is an asset.
• Welding supervisor or welding inspector certification is an asset.
• Experience with robotic welding is an asset.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good French communication skills required.
• Basic English is an asset.
• Open to travel when required.

Nous sommes à la recherche d'un Technicien en soudage pour soutenir les opérations de soudage dans un environnement manufacturier. Ce rôle est idéal pour une personne ayant de bonnes connaissances pratiques en soudage et qui aime travailler avec les équipes de production, de qualité et d'ingénierie.

Ce n'est pas seulement un poste de soudeur. Le Technicien en soudage va soutenir les soudeurs, aider à régler les problèmes de soudage, améliorer les procédés, maintenir les standards de soudage et participer à la documentation et aux certifications.

Responsabilités principales

• Soutenir les activités de soudage sur le plancher de production.
• Aider à régler les problèmes de soudage et soutenir les équipes de production.
• Travailler avec les équipes de production, de qualité et d'ingénierie.
• Soutenir les procédures et documents de soudage, comme WPS, PQR et WPQ.
• Aider à maintenir les certifications de soudage et la conformité aux normes.
• Soutenir les procédés de soudage comme MIG/GMAW, FCAW/MCAW, TIG/GTAW, soudage par résistance et soudage laser.
• Participer aux inspections et audits des postes de soudage.
• Former et soutenir les soudeurs et opérateurs au besoin.
• Participer aux projets d'amélioration continue.
• Soutenir les procédés de soudage robotisé et les projets d'automatisation.
• Utiliser AutoCAD ou DraftSight au besoin.

Qualifications
