Payroll Supervisor

Construction Payroll Lead (Phoenix, AZ) Vaco is seeking a Construction Payroll Lead in Phoenix, AZ. The role focuses on leading a payroll team, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing for the construction industry. Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of two payroll specialists, including coaching and performance management. Manage full‑cycle payroll processing for a designated region. Review and post payroll‑related journal entries. Ensure compliance with certified payroll reporting requirements. Maintain and update certified payroll rate tables and supporting data. Identify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Partner with field teams to resolve and prevent time‑keeping errors. Review payroll support tickets to ensure timely and accurate resolution. Requirements High volume, multi‑state payroll experience. 3–5 years of end‑to‑end payroll experience with supervisory responsibilities. Strong understanding and experience with construction payroll (prevailing wages, job costing, fringe calculations, union payroll, etc.). Previous experience with LCPtacker, eMars, AASHTOWare, or other relevant CPR software. Ability to work on site four days a week. Salary range $85,000 – $95,000 per year. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $85,000 – $95,000 per year. The successful candidate may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
