ADVANCED PRACTICE CLINICIAN - PULMONOLOGY HEALTH CENTER-NOCTURNIST NP

This role will be for night coverage from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and is contracted for 122 shifts per year, following a 7 on 14 off rotation, compensated at a 1.0 salary. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care as the Center's Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner according to established protocols, policies, procedures, and accepted standards of care. Function within the approved scope and credentials as approved by the Beebe Medical Center credentialing committee. Follow established nursing standards, procedures, and practices, and give specific patient care directions to nursing and other staff. Partner with Attending to provide night shift medical and surgical management for critical‑care service. Manage the comprehensive care of acutely and chronically critically ill or injured adult patients in collaboration with the intensivist physician on duty (or on‑call). Perform invasive procedures including central lines, arterial lines, tube thoracostomy, and dialysis catheters. Select, implement, manage, and titrate vasoactive drugs, insulin infusions, sedation, and analgesia. Qualifications The position must be certified as an acute care nurse practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant. Completion of an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program approved by the ANCC or AANP or Physician Associate. Must hold current license as a Registered Nurse or Physician Associate in the State of Delaware. National board certification as an ANCP (ANCC or AANP). Certificate of Authority by the Delaware Board of Nursing as a certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate. Valid prescriptive authority as issued by the Delaware Board of Nursing or State Medical Board of Delaware. Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care. #J-18808-Ljbffr Beebe Healthcare
