Field Service TechnicianProtean Instruments, a division of Ludlum Measurements, Inc. is seeking a self-starter Field Service Technician to join our team in Knoxville, TN! The Field Service Technician will drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention, and increases profitability.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatchesTie workflow to scheduleManage all onsite installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasksDiagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutionsProduce timely and detailed service reports while documenting processesOperate vehicles in a safe manner and use field automation systemsFollow all company files procedures and protocolsCooperate with technical team and share information across the organizationComprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendationsPerform other related duties as assignedSkills & Qualifications:Proven field service experienceTechnical degree or certification preferredMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to travel 1-2 weeks per monthExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailBeginner Electronic Technical SkillsAbility to read and interpret schematicsAbility to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipmentThrough hole Soldering ExperienceFamiliarity and operation of oscilloscope, computers, mobile tools, and applicationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedulesCompensation / Benefits:Salary is dependent upon experienceHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife Insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysFlexible Spending AccountOpportunities for professional growth and developmentAbout Ludlum Measurements:Ludlum Measurements, Inc. designs and manufactures radiation detection instruments used in environmental, industrial, and governmental applications around the world.
