TECHNICAL WRITER

Mid Level Technical Writer
Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents, including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation.
Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources to document new or changing product functionality.
Research experience required, ability to interview subject matter experts, comb WIKI’s and other data sources for information related to a subject matter area, and consolidate into curate into meaningful documentation.
Skills equiv. to 3-5 years in comparable position.
Works with Product Manager, Project Managers, Systems Analysts and Programmers to create and edit application and systems documentation, user manuals, training courses, and procedures.
Prepares proposals and technical reports.
Expert knowledge of Excel, MS Word and Visio, along with general familiarity with Outlook and other MS Office applications is also required.
Must have strong writing skills, be detailed oriented, organized, inquisitive, independent and be a quick learner.
Experience with Confluence is a plus.
The Technical Writer will research (interviews, existing documentation) data subject areas (e.g. Customers, Accounts, Transactions, etc.) and their related data objects (tables, views) for the data warehouse and compile into documentation within Confluence.
