Job Summary TYLin’s Buildings team brings creativity and technical excellence to new and existing buildings around the world. Our primary services in structural engineering for buildings include new construction, renovation, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation. Within that breadth, we also offer architectural services, code consulting, façade engineering, lightweight structures, and construction support services. We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer with 8‑15 years of structural engineering experience in Buildings (commercial, residential, institutional) to support operations in San Francisco. The incumbent will work with a highly collaborative and creative team on a diverse portfolio of projects. Responsibilities & Qualifications Duty and Responsibilities: Structural design and analysis for a wide range of building projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and architectural systems. Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications. Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions. Managing staff and clients on large and/or complex projects. Supporting Studio Leaders in staff and financial management. Providing mentoring and guidance to junior staff. Maintaining involvement in professional organizations to stay abreast of new industry developments. Qualifications (including education and/or job experience): Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering. Master’s Degree is considered an asset. P.E. license required; S.E. license is an asset. 8‑15 years of experience as a Structural Engineer on residential, commercial, or institutional building projects. Experience in historic building preservation is an asset. Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., RISA, SAP, RAM). Working knowledge of Revit. The base compensation range for this position is $116,000‑$150,000 annually, adjusted for the local market.
