Must-Have: Must have 2 years of experience in specialty and previous travel experience. Highly prefer antepartum and mother-baby experience for travelers.

Description: RNs will only float within their specialty and will not float outside of scope. Can be floated to any facility within specialty and/or to be a 1:1 sitter in any area. MedSurg includes multiple units across various facilities. Nurse-to-Patient Ratios are typically 1:5. Charge nurses are present on all units. The float pool has a leadership team available at all times. There are nurse aids/patient care techs on the units with varying ratios. RNs may be required to troubleshoot specific respiratory equipment. Tele/monitor techs are available on the units, and RNs may not be required to read their own strips. Shifts available are either 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. There is no self-scheduling, but block scheduling is attempted. Weekend requirements are every other weekend. There is no call or standby requirement. Travelers will be informed of their assignments via an app approximately one hour before shifts. Scrub color is not specified but must be clean and professional. The work culture is positive, and access to facilities is easy. Cancellation policy allows for up to four cancellations per contract, with provisions for shift pay. The charting system in use is EPIC. A BSN is not required for this position. The trauma level and care setting involve acute care nursing.
