Occupational Therapist for K12 Students
Step into a rewarding role supporting K12 students for the upcoming school year as a full-time Occupational Therapist. This contract opportunity provides the chance to work alongside dedicated educators, making a lasting impact in the lives of students from kindergarten through high school. This position offers a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week, beginning August 27, 2026, and running through June 17, 2027.
Desired Skills and Professional Background
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state OT license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)
- Previous experience working in a school-based setting with K12 students preferred
- Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Familiarity with IEP process and school documentation
- Ability to adapt interventions for diverse learning and developmental needs
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to children and adolescents according to established IEPs
- Conduct evaluations to determine students' motor, sensory, and functional needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans to promote student success in academic and daily life activities
- Collaborate with teachers and educational teams to integrate therapy into classroom routines
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, progress, and outcomes
- Communicate regularly with families regarding strategies and student achievements
