Role Overview

As a Supply Technician, you¿ll play a vital role in preparing and coordinating shipments for credit, repair, exchange, evaluation, or case studies. You¿ll work closely with freight vendors to ensure timely pick-ups and inspect parcels to meet shipping standards. Your efforts will directly support the efficiency of our Supply & Distribution services, contributing to the overall success of Henry Ford Health¿s mission.

What You Will Do

• Prepare items for shipment, including those for credit, repair, exchange, evaluation, or case studies.
• Coordinate shipping arrangements with freight vendors for pick-ups.
• Inspect parcels to ensure compliance with proper shipping standards.
• Assist in resolving routine problems and contribute to process improvements.
• Perform activities associated with the delivery of Supply & Distribution services.

Qualifications

Required

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Some computer knowledge and typing ability.
• Good communication skills.
• Approximately six (6) months of previous experience in a warehouse, stock department, or requisitioning/ordering/receiving supplies environment.

Preferred

Qualifications

• Experience with shipping and receiving processes.
• Familiarity with freight vendor coordination.
