Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Experience: Minimum 3 years in high acuity hospital settings, strong Pediatric ICU experience, and at least 1 year of CV experience required. License: RN license required. Certifications: AHA BLS and PALS required. Must-Have: - Epic experience required. - Ability to pass a telemetry test prior to starting. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our highly skilled and committed multidisciplinary team. The role involves providing family-centered care to critically ill or injured children and their families. The unit is a state-of-the-art facility with a capacity of 21 beds. Comprehensive care is provided for patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical problems. These problems include acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, multi-system organ failure, and ECMO. Experience in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit or general cardiac care is essential. Candidates should have strong medication administration skills including the management of anti-seizure medications and antiarrhythmics. Experience with a variety of clinical skills including but not limited to central line management, hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilator management is required. The nursing team collaborates with various interdisciplinary support services. Travelers may be required to float to different units as needed. Candidates must adhere to strict testing requirements and pass relevant exams for telemetry and cardiorespiratory assessment. This position requires commitment to high standards of patient care in a dynamic environment.
