Medical Front Desk ReceptionistUS Foot & Ankle Specialists is looking for a friendly, dependable Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. If you enjoy helping people, staying organized, and working in a busy healthcare environment, we'd love to meet you! As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play an important role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of the medical office. Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):Greet patients upon arrival and address questions and concernsAnswer incoming calls, provide information, transfer calls, and take messages as neededSchedule appointments and manage multiple provider calendarsRegister new patients and update existing patient demographics and financial informationFacilitate patient flow by notifying providers of arrivals, monitoring delays, and communicating updates to patients and staffMaintain and update patient records through data entry, faxing, and scanningCollect payments, including deductibles, coinsurance, balances, copays, and sales of OTC itemsReview and update accounts receivable/payable changes since prior visitsMaintain an accurate log of orthotics received; contact patients for follow-ups and schedule appointments accordinglyMonitor office supply inventory, place orders, and coordinate equipment maintenance and serviceVerify insurance eligibility, referrals, and authorizations in preparation for next-day appointmentsPrepare and process daily reports, deposit slips, and upload financial records to shared filesReview billing claims and denials; gather required information from providers or patients to resolve issuesSupport additional office tasks and projects as neededRequired Skills and Experience:High School Diploma or GED equivalent2+ years of administrative support experience in a medical environment preferredKnowledge of health insurance processes, including pre-authorization, insurance verification, medical terminology, CPT codes and ICD-9/ ICD-10 coding preferredExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsStrong communication, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding work environmentStrong attention to detail and a commitment to achieving high levels of patient satisfactionAbility to maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA compliance at all timesSound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive informationTeam-oriented mindset, flexibility, and a willingness to learnAbility to travel between local office locations, as neededProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer systemsBenefits Offered:Health Insurance (Single & Family plans available)Life InsuranceDisability Insurance401(k) Plan with Company MatchEmployee Discount ProgramPaid Time Off (PTO)Paid HolidaysPhysical Requirements: The physical demands described here represent those required to perform essential job functions.
