Job Description

The Warehouse Material Handler plays a critical role in supporting repair and test operations by accurately moving, storing, and handling electronic equipment and materials within a clean, climate-controlled facility. This position supports production flow, maintains inventory accuracy, and upholds safety and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) standards in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The role is not a retail pick-and-pack position and requires strong attention to detail, careful product handling, and consistent adherence to quality expectations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain satisfactory quality performance levels in all material handling activities.
• Package, unpackage, sort, stage, and prepare electronic units and materials for production.
• Perform accurate data entry into internal systems using a PC to support inventory and production tracking.
• Work effectively in a high-speed, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Meet or exceed daily production goals at 80% or higher, consistently and reliably.
• Put away equipment and parts into designated storage locations and pull equipment and parts as needed to support production.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station in accordance with facility standards.
• Handle products in compliance with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) and quality guidelines to protect sensitive electronic equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and operational instructions within the warehouse and production areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support overall repair, test, and warehouse operations.

• Proven ability to perform material handling tasks such as packaging, unpackaging, sorting, staging, and preparing units for production.
• Experience working in a high-speed, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English to follow instructions, complete documentation, and perform data entry.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate handling, storage, and movement of electronic equipment and materials.
• Basic PC skills to perform data entry into internal systems.
• Ability to meet or exceed daily production goals at 80% or higher.
• Capability to maintain a clean and organized work station and follow safety and ESD procedures.

• Prior experience in a warehouse, production, or electronic equipment handling environment.
• Familiarity with inventory processes such as put-away, pulling parts, and staging materials.
• Experience working with ESD-sensitive products and following ESD handling standards.
• Comfort working in a structured, process-driven environment with defined quality and production metrics.

You will work in a clean, climate-controlled facility that values quality, safety, and precision in handling electronic equipment. The operation offers a structured, predictable schedule and a stable environment where your attention to detail and reliability directly support critical repair and test activities. You can build practical experience in material handling and inventory processes while working with supportive teams focused on continuous improvement, efficiency, and maintaining high performance standards.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean, organized, and climate controlled, designed to support the handling of electronic equipment and adherence to ESD standards. The role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, with a shift from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. You will spend most of the shift standing and working at a designated work station, using a PC for data entry and handling equipment and parts in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. The facility emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and organization, with clear procedures and guidelines to support consistent, high-quality operations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Upper Marlboro, MD.

The pay range for this position is $17.97 - $17.97/hr.
