PhlebotomistPay Range: $17.75hr - $21.92hrRequirement/Must Have:Ability to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.High school diploma or equivalent.Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.Keyboard and data entry experience is required.Responsibilities:Represent the face of the organization to patients during health routines or life-defining health decisions.Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures.Maintain direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures.Perform blood specimen collection in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.Demonstrate leadership behaviors focusing on process excellence and sensitivity to confidentiality.Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.Maintain a safe and professional environment.Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties.Maintain required records and documentation.Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.Nice to Have:Medical assistant or paramedic training.Phlebotomy certification.One+ years of phlebotomy experience.Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.Skills:Phlebotomy.Pediatric Phlebotomy.Geriatric Phlebotomy.Specimen Processing.Data Entry.Keyboarding.Clinical Specimen Collection.Forensic Specimen Collection.Qualification And Education:High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 6 months experience.
