Position Overview

Resurge Rehab & Therapy is actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dedicated team in Ashburn, Virginia. In this full-time, onsite position, you will provide critical care directly within our residents' homes, enhancing their physical capabilities and overall quality of life. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to each individual’s needs.

Work Environment

This position is located in Ashburn, Virginia, and involves working directly with clients in a home care setting. Our environment encourages professional collaboration and support while fostering a culture of compassion and empathy. You'll operate primarily within a patient's home, which allows for a unique perspective in tailoring therapies to their specific daily living conditions and needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to evaluate resident mobility, pain levels, strength, and functional capabilities.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aligned with the goals of the residents and the recommendations of their physicians.
• Administer targeted therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation programs aimed at improving mobility, reducing pain, and preventing further injuries.
• Educate residents and their families about therapeutic techniques and at-home exercises to enhance recovery and promote independence.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nursing, occupational therapy, and wellness staff, to formulate and execute interdisciplinary care strategies.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of therapy sessions, ensuring compliance with Medicare and state regulations.
• Contribute positively to the therapeutic environment, ensuring that dignity and respect are upheld for every resident.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve elderly residents who may have various physical challenges and conditions, including post-operative recovery, chronic pain, and mobility limitations. Your role is critical in helping them achieve their individual rehabilitation goals, maintain their independence, and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A current and valid Physical Therapist license in Virginia.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• CPR/BLS certification or the willingness to obtain it upon hire.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dedicated care team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in geriatrics or long-term care is preferred but is not mandatory.
• Familiarity with home health care practices and adapting therapy in a home environment is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary in the range of $90,000 to $100,000, along with comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
