Job Title: Finance Inventory Control Specialist


Location: Jessup, MD (Onsite)

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM | Day Shift


Duration: Approximately 6 Months


Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Finance Inventory Control Specialist to support inventory accuracy and warehouse operations. This role requires strong inventory control experience, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry, and the ability to work in dry, cooler, and freezer warehouse environments.


Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting and inventory audits.
• Conduct warehouse cycle counts and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Perform quality checks on date-sensitive, slow-moving, and obsolete products.
• Investigate inventory variances, receiving issues, and damaged product concerns.
• Monitor FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory rotation processes.
• Verify reserve inventory counts and pallet accuracy.
• Ensure proper execution of put-away and transfer procedures.
• Document and coordinate product transfers between warehouse environments.
• Review inventory reports and research inventory shrinkage causes.
• Support will-call order coordination and related warehouse activities.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and data entry.
• Strong inventory control knowledge and experience.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective listening and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math proficiency, including fractions and decimals.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Preferred Skills

• Minimum 2 years of inventory control experience.
