Our organization , a regional tertiary care facility and an ACS-verified level II trauma center, is currently in search of an additional board-certified or board-eligible full-time OB/GYN to join our thriving hospital-employed practice in a Hospitalist/Nocturnist capacity.
The Position:Approximately twelve 14-hour night shifts, with opportunities for additional night or day shifts for extra pay.
Collaborate with a team of 8 physicians, 2 certified nurse midwives, 3 nurse practitioners, and dedicated support staff.
Deliver routine and high-risk obstetric and gynecologic care to a patient base of around 500,000 individuals.
During overnight shifts, the OB/GYN will manage triage, labor and delivery, antepartum care, patient transfers, and postpartum consultations, as well as emergency GYN surgeries.
Access to Maternal Fetal Medicine consultations via phone 24/7, along with on-site Anesthesia and NICU teams to support patient care. We also provide consultation services for the Family Medicine residency program and host rotating medical students.
Our facility handles over 1,600 deliveries annually and supports a level III NICU. We serve as the referral center for two-thirds of Maine's geographical area, with many patients traveling over two hours to deliver at our hospital.
Our hospital has made a significant investment of $300 million in a new tower that opened in 2016. This modernization initiative included a complete redesign of our Women & Infants unit, featuring twenty-five private patient rooms, six new labor and delivery rooms, and two advanced obstetrics/gynecology surgical suites that enhance the level of care provided at our medical center.
Compensation Details:An annual base salary ranging from $404,625 to $414,625, with the potential to earn additional income based on productivity.
The listed compensation range reflects what our organization anticipates for this position and may not encompass all additional compensation elements, such as call pay and leadership stipends.
