About the Role

The Company is seeking a Dean for its School of Nursing, a role that is pivotal in the development of nurse leaders, innovators, and advocates. The successful candidate will be the chief academic and executive officer, responsible for the oversight of faculty and staff development, budget planning and management, research, curriculum, and student academic affairs. The Dean will also be involved in fundraising and advancement efforts. This leadership position demands a visionary with a strong commitment to the mission of the School of Nursing, which is deeply rooted in research, education, practice, policy, and outreach. Applicants for the Dean position must have an earned research doctorate in nursing or a related field, with a graduate degree in nursing if the doctorate is not in nursing. A demonstrated record of excellence in research, teaching, and service is essential, as is eligibility for registered nurse licensure in Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of impact in nursing science and education, and a clear vision for the future of nursing education and practice. The role requires a leader who can effectively manage a large and diverse academic unit, foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, and engage in strategic planning to advance the School's mission and goals.
