Paramedic, Full Time- Oldham County EMS

Job Summary Paramedic. Full time position. Provides advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured. Transports and transfers patients and assesses the extent of an illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to follow. Applies artificial respiration or administers oxygen in cases of suffocation and asphyxiation, starts and administers intravenous fluids, performs other emergency medical interventions in accordance with State and locally approved medical protocols. Responsibilities Provide advanced life support care to patients. Transport and transfer patients. Assess the extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures. Apply artificial respiration or administer oxygen in cases of suffocation and asphyxiation. Start and administer intravenous fluids. Perform other emergency medical interventions in accordance with State and locally approved medical protocols. Requirements Paramedic license issued by the Kentucky Board of EMS. Valid Kentucky Motor Vehicle Operator’s License. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) certification. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire.
