Planner/Scheduler

Relate Search is partnering with a heavy steel fabrication manufacturer in search of a Planner/Scheduler to support projects from award through completion. This role will serve as a key link between project management and production, maintaining accurate, real-time schedules across pipe fabrication, vessels, structural steel, skid packages, and other fabricated products. The Planner/Scheduler will work closely with teams across the operation to coordinate priorities, resources, capacity, and project milestones while helping ensure production teams understand what needs to happen and when. This is an opportunity for an experienced fabrication scheduler to take ownership of an established P6 scheduling environment while continuing to improve how project information is communicated and used across the business.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and continuously update detailed Oracle Primavera P6 project schedules from project award through completion.
• Partner daily with project management, production, quality, procurement, and other teams to align project activities, milestones, priorities, and due dates.
• Coordinate manpower requirements, shop capacity, work schedules, and project priorities to support efficient execution across multiple concurrent fabrication projects.
• Monitor schedule progress, identify risks or discrepancies, and proactively work with stakeholders to resolve issues before they impact project deadlines.
• Help improve planning and scheduling processes by translating project data into accurate, actionable information that production teams can understand and trust.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Oracle Primavera P6 planning and scheduling experience, with the ability to independently manage and update project schedules.
• Direct experience within heavy steel, pipe, vessel, structural steel, or a closely related fabrication environment.
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes and the sequence of activities required to move projects from initial planning through completed production.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with project teams, production leadership, and shop-floor personnel.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
