Civil Designer

Civil Designer " Department: Civil Employment Type: Full Time Location: Victor, New York Reporting To: Christopher Kambar Compensation: $60,500 - $70,000 / year Description Design construction drawings across multifaceted markets and collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, and Site/Civil Engineers. Demonstrate problem-solving, strong computer and communication skills, and attention to detail while managing multiple tasks. Key Responsibilities Review and interpret surveys and engineering reports (geotechnical, environmental, wetlands, traffic, etc.) for use in site design. Prepare concept site plans and site plan sets using AutoCAD Civil 3D (erosion control, demolition, site layout, grading, storm drainage, utilities, landscaping, lighting, and details). Stormwater design and permitting in multiple states. Zoning code reviews. Municipal and agency permitting and attendance at meetings. Coordinate with utility companies and review design. Some travel for meetings, site observations, etc. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Minimum Qualifications BS or pre-professional degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited school. Experience with technical software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D. Preferred Qualifications EIT with the intention of becoming a PE. 1+ year of experience with site design. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, truck-turning, Hydrology, etc. Experience with MS Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, OneNote, Google Earth, etc. Benefits A supportive environment with opportunities for growth.
