RN - NICU

NICU Registered Nurse (Charge RN)

Location: Irving, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7P - 7A with rotating weekends

Job Description: The NICU Registered Nurse (Charge RN) will provide specialized care for infants in a high-acuity setting, ensuring the provision of family-centered care and the management of critical situations involving newborns requiring CPAP or ventilation support.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to patients in the NICU.
• Assist with line placement, circumcision, and intubation procedures.
• Stabilize infants and attend deliveries.
• Utilize advanced technology and equipment in the unit, such as GE bedside monitors and phototherapy lights.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using Meditech and CPNS.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active RN License (Temp license not accepted)
• BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital/specialty experience in NICU
• Experience with central lines and stabilization of critically ill infants
