The position is a full-time, academic, multi-disciplinary team-based practice including resident and fellow clinical and didactic education. The Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology has been rapidly expanding since the opening of the Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital and the Summey Medical Pavilion Ambulatory Surgical Facility. Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital is South Carolina's only children's hospital recognized by U.S. News & World Report -- earning national rankings in six specialties: Cardiology & Heart Surgery, Cancer, Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Nephrology, Neurology & Neurosurgery, and Pulmonology & Lung Surgery.
