The Contractors State License Board is currently recruiting for a Supervising Program Technician II in the Public Affairs and Information/ Public Counter.  

This position is located in Sacramento, California.

Under the general direction of the Supervising Program Technician III (SPT III), the Supervising Program Technician II (SPT II) serves as a working supervisor and plans, organizes and directs the work of Public Counter Unit staff who interpret and apply CSLB laws, rules, regulations and policies as they relate to CSLB while assisting the public. The SPT II reviews and evaluates the most complex staff work associated with inquiries that affect contractor licensing and has a working knowledge of the appropriate laws, rules and regulations.

Working Conditions

Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview. However, they must reside in the State of California once they are hired and start working.

Effective July 1, 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee's monthly salary in exchange for leave credits. Employees appointed to this classification will have their monthly salary reduced and will accrue hours of PLP 2025 on the first day of each pay period as outlined on "Section 2113 - Personal Leave Program (PLP)" of the CalHR Manual. The salary range(s) included on this job posting do not reflect the reduction in pay.
