Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required to work as an RN Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, HWC, NRP, PALS Must-Have: - Labor management - Circulate cesarean section - OB triage Description: This position requires a registered nurse specializing in labor and delivery. The role involves labor management, and circulating cesarean sections. Candidates should be proficient and independent in labor management. The patient population includes individuals of all ages. Common diagnoses include labor, pre-term labor, vaginal delivery, cesarean section, and pregnancy complications. The environment is one that values professionalism, motivation, and a self-assured demeanor. Weekly guaranteed hours are 36 with weekend hours as needed. Call requirements are as needed. The unit has 9 beds with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:3. The equipment utilized includes EFM, IV pumps, and NIBP. The electronic health record system used is GE Centricity and Meditech.
