Job Description INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Neurohospitalist (Inpatient Consult Neurologist) for a week on / week off employment model. Our consult NeuroHospitalist Service provides support for emergency care (Level II Trauma Center), certified comprehensive stroke center care, and inpatient care. Schedule & Coverage 7 days on / 7 days off; 168 weeks per year Updated and competitive compensation model Two neurologists cover at a time System-wide EPIC EMR and Ceribell EEG system Stroke coordinators engage with the NeuroHospitalist Service and provide process support; a separate Neuro-ICU has its own physician coverage Required skillsets – EEG reads including continuous monitoring (2–7 combined daily), lumbar punctures (occasional but necessary) Strong inpatient medical staff culture and processes (ED, Hospitalist Service, Radiology/IR, Specialty Care, etc.) Physician-led medical group with collegial relationship with hospital administration The physician provides direct patient care. Responsibilities Thoroughly evaluate and manage each patient appropriately and document information completely by use of written notes or dictation on a timely basis Identify relevant medical issues accurately and use appropriate procedures and testing Complete and maintain problem list, medication list, disease management forms, preventative maintenance flow sheets and other medical record forms Participate in the quality improvement and medical management plans as directed by the Medical Operating Committee Provide direction to staff members for an efficient and smooth running team Ensure fiscal viability of the practice Comply with policies and procedures as applicable The physician is responsible for patients.
