Bartender

Position Summary The role of the Bartender is to prepare beverages for our guests in a prompt and courteous manner while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency. The bartender must create 100% guest satisfaction by providing the service brand behavior, genuine hospitality, and by exceeding guest expectations. Responsibilities Provide personal attention, take personal responsibility, and use teamwork when providing guest service. Listen, apologize with empathy, find a solution, and follow through when resolving guest problems. Assume responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and use best judgment regarding the 100% Guest Satisfaction Guarantee. Provide prompt, quality service to customers at banquet bar by preparing beverages and serving guests in accordance with Radisson Hotels standards. Suggest cocktails, wine, or non‑alcoholic beverages and up‑sell to premium products as appropriate. Maintain adequate levels of beverages and glassware at all times and display beverages attractively on cart. Keep the banquet bar cart clean and maintain knowledge of the inventory and wine selection to respond to customer questions. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of beverage recipes and mixing procedures. Adhere to legal and Radisson Hotels policies and standards, including laws and guidelines for beverage service. Handle cash, checks, and/or credit cards in accordance with Radisson policies. Record accurate consumption at the end of each function and report to the supervisor. Cover bartending shifts to assist with call‑offs and team vacation times; bartend 2 days a week and barback‑buss 3 days a week. Qualifications Valid Bartender’s License. Minimum age 18 years. One (1) year prior bartending experience in an upscale environment preferred. Thorough understanding of safe and perceptive service. Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills. Basic math and ability to handle cash. Experience working with Point of Sale systems. Highly organized and able to proactively prioritize needs, manage resources and time efficiently. Physical Demands Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 75 pounds occasionally. Ability to maneuver up to 150 pounds occasionally for short periods of time. Ability to set up and take down tables, chairs, stages, and other banquet meeting fixtures. Ability to push and pull carts weighing up to 200 pounds occasionally.
