Business and Healthcare Paralegal

Miami Jewish Health is one of the largest providers of healthcare and living options for aging adults in the Southeast. Our main campus is located on 20+ acres just north of mid‑town Miami. We are seeking a Paralegal to support our General Counsel and Compliance Director. Job Title Paralegal Job Summary The in‑house Paralegal provides comprehensive legal and administrative support to the General Counsel and Compliance Director. The role manages corporate governance, oversees the contract lifecycle, and ensures regulatory compliance. Acting as a liaison between the legal team, internal stakeholders, and external counsel, the Paralegal supports business operations through contract drafting and negotiation, compliance audits, maintenance of corporate records, and legal research. Essential Job Functions Research and analyze healthcare, employment, affordable housing, and broader business law matters to inform strategy and ensure compliance. Assist with internal audits, maintain compliance policies, and manage training records. Track and audit correction action activities. Contract Management Draft, review, and manage contracts, including NDAs, vendor agreements and commercial deals. Support review, revision, and negotiation of vendor contracts. Document Preparation Draft, review, redline, and organize legal and compliance documents such as contracts, policies, agreements, regulatory filings and correspondence. Litigation Support Support the legal department in managing discovery requests, subpoenas, and coordinating with outside counsel. Asset Management Assist with management of the company’s property holdings. Education & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certificate. 3–5 years in a corporate legal department or law firm. Paralegal Certificate preferred. Abilities Required Experience with regulatory healthcare compliance. Proficiency in MS Office, healthcare software, contract management systems, and e‑billing systems. Strong written, oral communication, organizational and prioritization skills. Environment & Work Conditions Normal working conditions with adequate lighting and ventilation.
