Graphic Designer

Pay rate: $24.00 per hour
Job type: Temporary / contingent worker.
Duration: October 12, 2026 through December 31, 2026.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Hours: 40 hours per week 
Worksite location: Charleston, SC. 
We are seeking a Graphic Designer for a temporary contract opportunity in Charleston, SC. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented creative professional with strong print production, layout, and file preparation experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

The Graphic Designer will support a professional print and publishing operation by creating polished visual materials, preparing files for production, managing print and finishing work, and collaborating with internal clients to bring design concepts to life. This is a great opportunity to work with supportive teams, contribute to high-visibility printed and digital materials, and apply both creative design skills and hands-on production expertise.

Key Responsibilities

- Create electronic and printed materials, including illustrations, graphs, charts, logos, posters, presentations, and other visual assets.
- Use Adobe Creative Cloud tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat, to develop, revise, and prepare design files.
- Support copy and offset printing, proofing, finishing, and production workflows to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Consult with clients to understand design needs, project scope, timelines, and desired visual direction.
- Provide multiple design options and incorporate feedback, revisions, and edits in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure work complies with copyright requirements, font licensing standards, and production specifications.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Create and revise graphic design layouts for print and digital materials.
- Prepare files for print production, proofing, finishing, and output.
- Manage client design requests, deadlines, and revisions.
- Support print production quality, accuracy, and compliance standards.

- Minimum of 3 years of related graphic design, print production, or commercial art experience.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat.
- Experience creating layouts, presentations, posters, logos, charts, graphs, and other visual materials.
- Knowledge of copy/offset printing, proofing, file manipulation, and finishing processes.
- Ability to understand and follow copyright and font licensing requirements.
- 4-year degree in Graphic Design, Commercial Art, or equivalent experience and certifications preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Customer-focused communication skills with the ability to accept and apply design feedback.
- Self-reliant work style with the ability to take ownership of assignments.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours and walk through warehouse and office areas.
- Must be able to meet background check, drug screening, and temp worker agreement requirements.
- Professional casual dress code required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Copy or offset printing experience.
- Project management experience.
- Experience working in a professional print, publishing, production, or client services environment.
- Formal education, certification, or equivalent training in Graphic Design or Commercial Art.
