Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active California Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification required from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Experience evaluating and treating outpatient orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries in a clinic setting.
• Experience communicating treatment plans and progress to referring physicians, including orthopedic and hand surgeons.
• Proficiency with common outpatient therapy documentation systems and electronic medical records preferred.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday schedule as indicated by client behavior characteristics. Weekend or on-call requirements are not indicated.
• Preferred: Prior experience in fast-paced outpatient clinics or multi-disciplinary centers.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: Outpatient clinic.
• Assignment Duration: 13 Week contract.
• Position Type: Contract Physical Therapist treating outpatient orthopedic injuries.
• Days: Monday through Friday schedule (behavior characteristics indicate M-F).
• Clinical Responsibilities: Evaluate and treat patients with musculoskeletal injuries, report patient progress to in-house and specialty doctors, and collaborate with center colleagues.

For outdoor adventure, Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve and La Jolla Shores are within 20 to 30 minutes, offering hiking trails and ocean viewpoints. Public transit options include the San Diego Trolley and regional bus lines with connections to downtown San Diego and the airport, supporting commuters and short-distance travel.
