# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Unit – Tennessee

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday rotation required. Self-scheduling available. Block scheduling not guaranteed. Float between designated medical-surgical units as needed.

Highlights:

• 30-bed medical-surgical unit with 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Strong support staff including 2-3 technicians per shift, charge nurse, clinical coordinator, and visible leadership team
• Work with diverse medical equipment including wound vacs, heparin drips, IV pumps, telemetry, feeding pumps, bladder scanners, and more
• Documentation system: Editech EMR
• Comprehensive patient care including IV therapy, wound care, NGT placement, and cardiac rhythm monitoring
• Recognition programs including Daisy Award, Bee Award, and colleague-to-colleague recognition opportunities

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency in IV starts, NGT placement, wound care, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Advanced cardiac rhythm interpretation skills preferred
• Experience with lab draws and IV therapy
• Commitment to positive patient experience and service recovery
